The nights are drawing in and that can only mean one thing - the most exciting event in the fashion calendar, London Fashion Week, is upon us.
This year the team from LVBT were lucky enough to get the chance to pay a visit to one of the industry's top events during LFW at the Designer Showrooms event, held in fashionable Soho's Brewer St Car Park. There we mingled with some of London's most forward thinking fashionistas!
It might not sound like the most glamorous of locations, but the car park was transformed into a mini department style store. David Collins Studio, who designed the space, said the concept was "based on lines of symmetry, transparency and reflection”, giving the showroom an architectural feel.
“The design reflects the urban nature of the building and works with the concrete structure of Brewer Street Car Park to create a functional and contemporary space,” the studio said.
The team from LVBT were all absolutely blown away by the stunning car park ceiling, which was a long, mirrored catwalk running the length of the space. Silver-grey metal rails and showcases allowed jewellery designers to exhibit in spaces that were private, but also a part of the wider showroom vista.
Free hair and make-up makeovers were on offer for everyone at the event, adding the perfect finishing touch to an event that was definitely too cool for school.
We were able to meet with some of our favourite designers and brands, including jewellery designers Maya Magal, Phoebe Coleman and Rachel Boston, to check out their new SS16 collections and get the inside track on just what inspires these talented ladies.
Going to LFW allowed us to find out what's looking hot in the coming seasons, and we've come away with plenty of ideas on how to style your favourite jewellery and accessories next spring and summer. There's plenty to look forward to, so watch this space - in the meantime why not take a look at our delightful autumn and winter offerings?
